CLR 을 이용한 튜닝 입니다. 이번 쿼리는 약 9배 정도의 성능향상이 있습니다.
아래 쿼리가 기존의 fn_split 을 사용할 경우 9초, CLR 을 이용한 fn_split 는 1초 입니다.
그런데 이번에는 약간의 주의사항이 있습니다. 적용시 개발과 함께 살펴봐야 할 듯 합니다.
주의사항
아래 참고 URL 을 읽어보니 table return function 의 경우 unicode 만 리턴 합니다. 만약 non-unicode 로 반드시 받아야 한다면
1) sql 이나 application 에서 결과값을 varchar (8000) 으로 convert 해 써야 합니다.

2) 들어오는 입력 인자는 8000자를 넘어도 상관 없지만 나오는 출력 컬럼은 4000자를 넘지 못합니다.

동적으로 PIVOT을 만들 수 있는 방법입니다.
아직도 case 문이 익숙하긴 하지만, 가끔은 오히려 더 복잡해지는 case 문 때문에 PIVOT을 사용해야 한다고 느껴질 때가 있습니다.
아직 PIVOT 익숙하지는 않은데 하다보니 컬럼 고정이 되서 불편한 점이 있는데 이 방법으로 사용하면 좋을 것 같네요.
PIVOT 은 행 형태의 반환을 열로 만들어 주는 것입니다.

다른 데이터를 추가 해 보죠.
INSERT dbo.Products SELECT 4, N'blat';
INSERT dbo.OrderDetails SELECT 4,4,5;
그리고 나서 다시 윗 쿼리를 실행 해 보면 결과는 동일하게 3개의 데이터의 집계만 나타납니다.
당연한 결과 입니다. 지금 추가된 blat는 보이지 않습니다. PIVOT는 집계해서 보여줄 컬럼을 명시해야 하기 때문입니다. 쿼리를 그럼 고쳐야 하는데 좀 더 쉽게 동적으로 할 수 있게 아래는 도와 줍니다.
